I was born and raised in Nigeria, where Malaria and Typhoid were as common as the rainy season. My immune system, delicate and unpredictable, made things worse. Conventional medications often triggered allergic reactions, forcing me to look elsewhere for healing. Neem leaves became my turning point, a plant that brought relief when pharmaceuticals failed. From there, I turned to other remedies: Enyikwonnwa for Typhoid, Akpuru to rebuild my blood after surgery. What began as a necessity became a conviction.

That conviction only deepened over time. I’ve spent over four decades as a Registered Nurse, working across surgical, mental health, and general medical departments. My career spans both Nigeria and the United States, where I now reside and continue to practice. I’ve seen medicine at its most miraculous and its most brutal. I’ve witnessed drugs save lives, but I’ve also seen side effects that broke bodies and spirits. Through it all, one truth stood firm: the safest form of medicine is still found in plants.

I come from a long line of herbalists, my maternal great-grandmother, my grandfather, my father, several aunts and uncles, each of them a bearer of botanical knowledge that, sadly, was never written down. I learned directly from them, watching, listening, and absorbing as much as I could as they worked. Though they died with many of their cures unrecorded, I carry fragments of their wisdom, lessons passed by hand, voice, and practice, and hold them as the foundation of everything I now create.

Combining that legacy with my clinical experience, I founded AdaBotanics Naturals, a line of botanical-based products designed to heal without harm.
